Bournemouth youngster Jack Wadham has made a permanent move to National League club Sutton United. This transfer marks the conclusion of Wadham’s 11-year association with Bournemouth, as he joins Sutton following a loan spell at National League South side Worthing last season. Worthing reached the play-off final under his contribution, though they were defeated by Braintree Town.
Speaking on the signing, Sutton United’s Head Coach Steve Morison expressed his satisfaction, stating, “I’m really pleased to have secured the services of Jack after his successful loan spell at Worthing.”
“He’s had a strong development at Bournemouth and will bring a fresh dynamic to our midfield. His quality and skills will be evident for everyone to see at Gander Green Lane.”
Since joining midway through the season, Wadham made a total of 19 appearances for the Rebels.
Hailing from Weymouth, Wadham joined the Cherries academy at the age of 10 and eventually captained the under-18s. He also gained experience on loan at Bournemouth’s non-league neighbors, Dorchester Town, during the 2021/22 season.
While primarily a central midfielder, Wadham is versatile enough to play as a center-half in defense, a role he often filled during his time with the development squad.
