One of the top wide receivers in the Class of 2026 paid an unofficial visit to Louisville on Monday and received a scholarship offer before leaving. During his visit, four-star Kaydon Finley of Aledo, Texas, had the opportunity to meet with University of Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm and receivers coach Garrick McGee, as well as explore the program’s facilities.
“It was great,” Finley told Cardinal Authority. “I arrived this morning, and they already treated me like family. It was my first visit to Kentucky, and it was a lot of fun to explore. I will definitely return. The Brohms are a fantastic family with whom I had several opportunities to connect. I adore Coach McGee, the wide receivers’ coach. It was nice to go out and finally meet those folks in person.”
The relationship between the Louisville staff and the 6-foot, 200-pound Finley is not new.
“We’ve been building a relationship for awhile now,” Finley stated. “So, that was good to get out and meet the coaching staff.”
The scholarship offer was offered to Finley during a visit with Jeff Brohm.
“They were telling me how I am a high-impact player,” Finley stated. “They believe that I can make a big impact on the program and they were talking about how I could get the 2026 class started up and rolling.”
Finley has had an effect since his freshman season. Finley caught 42 receptions for 703 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore for Aledo, which won the Texas 5A D-I state championship for the second year in a row. As a freshman in 2022, he had 25 receptions for 417 yards and six touchdowns for Aledo, which won the Texas 5A D-I state championship.
